Part V (last): Setting of the "Cradle"

The unit #02-31 handed over by the previous tenant was semi-bare. The original colors of the walls were purple which was changed.
However, the lightings were kept intact.

A softer, neutral and a more approachable color tone was the aim of this showcase location. After much deliberate thought, a warm beige tan color with warm yellow lightings were chosen. On top of that, the designing of the island displays, counter cabinets and the positions of which these are to be placed were also carefully thought.

I wanted to remain close with all my customers and friends - in learning and viewing the unique watches the showcase has - hence the “boomerang” concept was achieved when one stepped into the showcase.

Just the little counter with nothing on the walls yet.

The logos on the door and the top of the glass window display.

Mirrors were also added to the walls :)

A glass cabinet was added near the counter area to display our exclusive handmade watch boxes, pouches and strapholders.

Slightly behind the main showcase area lies a little quiet room, for those who need a rest. It is also filled with some watch magazines and catalogs including a rare Omega Antiquorium catalog, for those who wish to read more about horology.

No interior designers were hired throughout, but I did engaged opinions from friends and family.

Once the right quality and color of the carpet was selected, renovations were underway. Within three weeks, which seems like an eternity, the main furniture was up.  And thus began another challenge -- the background designs of the wall layouts.

After a month or so, some visuals were provided and the showcase office now looks a bit more complete.

(On the wall, features the 150th Anniversary Meister Chronoscope model on display with a wise old man "peeking" through :D )

When one enters into the showcase office, you will see this Erhard Junghans Chronoscope model welcoming you with its unique three-layered dial.

As seen from the little R & R room :)

After 2-3 months of planning, trial and error, this little place is finally ready to open her doors to serve the community who truly appreciates a good timepiece or simply having a casual conversation in sharing watch knowledge. Life is indeed a journey and I hope through watches, friendships and healthy ties are being forged.

I wish you a pleasant experience here at Watch:Werkz -- a big warm thank-you to all who have followed us throughout the years from "Impress-Watches" to WatchWerkz today -- we will continue to work very hard in bringing unique timepieces, accessories and many more in time to come.
